Charlie's early "Man" drawing
Circa 1974, age 4

Typical for children at age 3-4, Charlie starts using large blocks for torso, arms, and legs. Look especially at the fingers and toes: Charlie uses the same symbol for both, (the three "sausage" things). It's interesting that he gives the drawing three "sausages" for each hand or foot. Some kids use 1 or 2 or all the way up in the neighborhood of 20 plus fingers and toes.
